Yes, that’s right. I’m delighted since it was my first time to achieve that. Before, I sold two domains for 100$ each on separate occasions. So my dream of earning more than a hundred is now fulfilled. Next target is more than a thousand dollar domain. God will help me achieve that, yohoo! Hehe.
The domain is a name of a school. There are two existing schools with the same name in China and Belgium. The name gets 30 to 60 visits a day. It earned me 10 to 15 dollars a month. It had been with me for three months, totally i earned about 30$. So in total i earned 430$ through that domain.
I got the domain at Snapnames. Snapnames is an auction site about expiring domain names. A more detailed statement i grabbed from their website:
Snapnames was formed in 2000 to provide the first commercially available technology for “back-ordering” a currently registered domain name. This pioneering service helped customers gain access to domain names that were thought to be forever out of reach. In reality, most domain names cycle back into the market at some point in time, though without specialized help, most people are unable to find or buy them.

If you have unused domains or have an interest in domain name buying or selling, but more on the latter. It’s time you get to know Sedo.
So what is Sedo? It is a marketplace for buying and selling domain names. Sedo also offer domain appraisals, brokerage services, promotion and their popular domain parking program. It’s free to join. Then once you signed up read more detailed FAQs about the services i bolded above on their website.
I’ve been a member of Sedo for five years. Unfortunately, i only sold one domain for 100$ through Sedo. It’s not Sedo’s fault though. My domains are not that attractive to potential buyers. I earned about 85$ in total through domain parking.
I have a domain that’s earning about 15$ a month through parking. So far, that’s my biggest moneymaker in Sedo. Another domain is just giving me a dollar to five a month.
Domain parking is basically a page or pages that look like a website with a bunch of advertising links. When visitors click on the one of those links, a Sedo member will earn. They pay monthly.
A member also have the chance to earn money by referring others to join Sedo though their affiliate program.

What’s good about DoubleClick is, it’s now owned by Google, currently the most profitable internet company.
You’re in good hands when you’re with them. Google has been reliable with Adsense.
I joined DoubleClick about three years ago, but i have not used its program to the fullest. I got lured by Google’s Adsense program. But other successful publishers have been doing good with DoubleClick.
DoubleClick is basically commission per lead, that means if a visitor clicks on your ad on your site and goes to the website and buys, you as a publisher or site owner will get a commission after a successful purchase.

Okay, I have jumped on the bandwagon of making money online through the PayPerPost way.
Payperpost.com is a new type of advertising method. Basically, the advertiser or a product or website owner seeks writers, bloggers, videographers, photographers to create a content for them on the latters’ website. The content should talk about the product or the website.
The content maybe a positive, but other advertisers allow negative comment.
For example you want your music site to become popular, you go to Payperpost.com, and give your requirements, pay PPP, and PPP will look for writers, bloggers for you.

Fotolia’s earning and affiliate program works like iStockphoto and Snapville. A photographer or illustrator may submit their photos or illustrations, and if accepted, and customers can purchase it, and the contributor will earn a commission per download.
Here’s more of Fotolia’s affiliate program.
What is the affiliation program?
The affiliation program enables any Fotolia member to promote Fotolia and be rewarded on the sales and purchases of new members. When you refer Fotolia to a new member via this program, you are automatically remunerated on the sales and purchases of the new member (without any effect on the photographer’s commission). This program allows you to promote Fotolia to your friends, family, clients, and associates and receive a reward for their transactions.
Characteristics of the program
You receive:
* 10 % commission on sales and 15 % on purchases
* Payment starting at one dollar
* Effective and powerful affiliate promotion tools
* Real time report of all your transactions
* The ability to add an unlimited amount of affiliates

It was my first time to buy that domain with a 80$ price tag. The most i could pay before was 10$. The domain is four letters. I bought it as an investment, i will sell it 10 times than it’s original price in the near future.
I got that domain through an auction at Godaddy’s TDnam.com sister site.

Just a heads up for those who are into domain selling business/hobby or web design or programming services that uses Paypal as the medium of payment.
I’ve read in some forums horrible experiences by domainers and freelancers being scammed of hundreds to thousands of dollars.
This is how the scammer works:
The scammer will buy your domain name and will advise that he only pay by Paypal. You received the money on your Paypal, and then you transfer the domain name to the buyer/scammer.
Sounds safe already, right? WRONG.
A few days or months later the scammer/buyer will file a chargeback at Paypal. Paypal will always allow chargeback. Paypal practically concedes to chargebacks. Paypal will get the money from you and send it back to the buyer/scammer.
If it involves hundreds to thousands of dollars use Escrow.com and other escrow services.
You can still accept Paypal payments if the buyer is someone you already knew and trust.

You may have heard some famous domains such as Diamond.com, Business.com or Sex.com sold in the millions of dollars?
You have a chance to become a domainer yourself and possibly become one of those famous millionaire domainers. Domainer is the word invented by those involved in the business of buying and selling domain names.
I myself have started domaining in 2002. Before I continue, “domaining” basically means buying and selling domains. Although domaining is much more than buying and selling domains, it also involves joining domain forums and discuss with other domainers, reading news about domains, just like in any other things, but just on domains.
What prompted me to be involved with domaining was after a forum member at Webhostingtalk contacted me and asking me to modify a logo for a University in Australia. I just simply told the client to buy me domain name as payment for the logo design.
I went to DNforum and searched for domain buyers, and I found one and emailed him through the email I found on his website. I offered 100$ for that domain. He like it and the rest as they say is history.
Joining domain forums is very helpful. You must gain a lot of knowledge before buying a domain. Buying domains is addicting, especially if there’s a new popular technology or current events happening.
One must learn to discipline oneself or else the hard earned money would just go up in smoke.
